On October 29th 2006, Rajesh Bihani ran the Detroit Free Press Marathon; a distance of 26.2 miles or 42 kilometers. This was his second marathon and this time he ran to raise funds for the Autism Society of America, Oakland County Chapter, Michigan (ASA/OCC).

MMNA matched up to $500.00 for those who were contributing to the cause and raised over $6000.

Swastik Bihani from California, with his team at the MBA program in Berkeley won the 2006 International Operations Simulation Competition on April 12. His team beat 45 teams competing online from seven countries to win this competition. Congratulations Swastik on this outstanding achievement!

Ashish Gupta, from Atlanta has been selected as an Indicorp fellow this year for a rural development project in BAGAR, Rajasthan, India. He will be leaving for India in the first week of August, 2006 to take up this two year long voluntary project. The goal of this project during the first year is to study the living conditions of rural India and come up with the recommendations to improve the living conditions by providing better health, education and employment opportunities.
The second phase of this project will embark upon implementing the above recommendations.

Rohit Sharda graduated from Stanford University in June and will be attending University of Texas — SouthwesternMedical School.

Siddarth Rathi, from New York, is starting MD/MBA program at Boston University.

Suneeti Gupta from Illinois, will be starting her medical program at Saint Louis University.

Abhishek Somani from Delhi, has been accepted into the PhD program in Economics at Iowa University.

Anand Ghurka from Hyderabad, will graduate with a Masters of Science in Industrial Engineering from Iowa University.

Neil Tapadiya from Illinois, graduated from Northwestern University in Economics has joined Leimann Brothers.

Nikhil Fafat, from Akola graduated with a Masters in Computer Science this summer. He started working with RJN Groups, as a Programmer/Analyst.
