A new initiative called "Swagat Committee" has
been floated. Whenever new Maheshwari members come to North America, they have experienced problems initially in adjusting to the new environment and knowing Maheshwari community in North America. Swagat Committee has the following objectives:

- Helping new Maheshwari members whether visitors or students coming to North America to adjust in new environment
- Getting know-how of the members of Maheshwari community around their area.
- Increasing their contact with the local bodies of MMNA and local chapters of MMNA. At present there are six chapters namely New England, Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest and West Coast plus Canada region.
- Telling them about the new programs & Initiatives of MMNA.
